Kent’s largest indoor market Petticoat Lane Emporium in Folkestone opens its doors

The former Wilko store in Folkestone town centre has been transformed into the county’s second Petticoat Lane Emporium.

A former Kent Wilko branch will see life once again as new owners have been found for the spacious unit. At the end of 2023 the high street staple collapsed into administration, resulting in the closure of all 400 of its branches across the UK.

Announcing the news on Facebook, the team said: “Let me introduce ourselves. We are Richard, Ruth, Toby and Waverley.

"We have been running Petticoat Lane Emporium Ramsgate for over 10 years, and have decided to expand into Folkestone! As of 10/04/2025, we have taken over the old Wilko building in Sandgate Road, Folkestone.
